Sunday December 17th the NDR German Broadcast company has a program called Nordsee Report, focused on Groningen. IN 45 minutes it will show different elements of Groningen. Among these aspects is also  the Mini Course Dutch for visitors (A Bite of Dutch / Niederländisch zum Anbeißen), offered by Say it in Dutch Language School since last Summer. The crew visited Huis de Beurs Cafe at the Vismarkt this week, when a course was running.

Other aspects are: the arrival of Sinterklaas in Groningen, Groningen Estate houses, modern and classic architecture, and everyday life of a German student in Groningen.

This German TV program starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday December 17th on the NDR III channel (Germany), also available on satellite TV. More information: www.ndr.de

The Mini Course which takes about 90-120 minutes combined with a lunch, is given on request to small groups. More information can be found at www.sayitindutch.com

Groningen - Design, Kultur und Weihnachtsflair

Goudkantoor

Deutsche Studenten in Groningen

BiteofdutchklDuits televisieprogramma over Groningen

Upcoming classes Dutch Conversation

<p><p>Untitled Document</p></p>

Upcoming Classes Dutch Conversation

Say it in Dutch will begin new groups in September 2006
(8 weeks courses in Groningen, The Netherlands)

The courses

In Groningen we practice in small groups of 3 to 5 beginners, meeting once a week. In this group you will learn to speak and understand Dutch in a pleasant way. We focus on speech and understanding. Pronunciation is an important issue. We try to keep grammar and writing to a minimum. Of course we start with many basic expressions, but later on you can also bring your own subjects to talk about. Sometimes we listen to Dutch popmusic and try to understand the lyrics. If somebody likes to fly a kite, he will learn to tell us all about it in Dutch, etcetera. Because we are only few, you will get a lot of practice each time.

Read more about these courses >>>

The Levels:

Beginners I: For people who do not speak any Dutch yet.

It's a Dutch Children Classic and an excellent book for your reading practice. The little Dutch stories are very useful for foreign students of Dutch, and they are a funny read, too.

Do you know that the famous Persian/Dutch writer Kader Abdolah learned Dutch by reading Jip en Janneke?
